Hi,

Not sure how to upload an image here, but the "deck options" screen accssed via the "gear" on a deck flashcard only lists:

Card Order
Layouts to show
Edit Layouts
Advanced Layout (with toggle switch)

I am trying to find "Sound" to access TTS

Thanks for your app!
Amy

Hi Amy,

When advanced layout on, each layout has its own set of "deck options".

Two options:

1) Tap of the of the layouts (1->2 or 2->1) and you'll find the normal options in there.
2) Turn advanced layout off.

Thanks! I will try toggling off advanced options. I don't think I need different options for each deck.

BTW, any thoughts on Korean TTS? (I'm an English/Japanese speaker learning Korean).

Also, I shared your app info with my colleagues and students at my university (I'm a Japanese professor--when I was learning I used "3 sided" paper flashcards by blocking with my thumb. The lack of a "3rd side" for digital flashcards makes it a challenge for languages that use Chinese characters, or for me with Korean because I like to use mnemonics). I am grateful to have found your app, which I did via an online search for "3-sided flashcards."

Thanks for your app!

Oh, I didn't see your Sound question. Turn Advanced Layout off. Sound should be an option. If not, there is an option at bottom to turn advanced menu on.

Tap Sound, then Text to Speech. I recommend first trying either "Siri" or "Android TTS" (whichever is appropriate). Both should have an option for Korean. Find the language and select a voice, and when you return to the study screen a play button should appear.

The "Amazon Polly" option is a little different because it will create and download .mp3 files and play those.
