Support for Hentaigana

Support for Hentaigana

I would be interested in support for hentaigana. There are cards like these: github.com/mistval/kotoba/blob/master/resources/quiz_data/hentaigana.json

This is important for studying to read classical texts (Edo period)

Is this possible?

Hi,

I see the json file you sent.

I seems like the question is the Hentaigana character, correct? It appears you will need a special font to show these. Perhaps something like this one:
https://fonts.google.com/noto/specimen/ ... Hentaigana

You can add custom fonts into the app and assign the font to Text 1. That's part of the battle. If you need help with this, let me know.

The second problem is that the json file is in a format Flashcards Deluxe cannot read. What you'd need to do is convert each of the cards question, answer, and meaning to 3 columns in a spreadsheet. I really don't know how to easily do this. I tried importing the json file into Excel, but there are different layers/levels, and I'm not getting any results that are useable. it seems like there would be some online tool to help convert this into a more spreadsheet friend version, but you'll probably still have to manipulate the results to get it into 1 row per cards, and 3 columns per row. (Or perhaps 4 columns to separate the hiragana from latin pronunciation.)

If you are somehow able to convert the json into a simple Excel grid, and need help from there, let me know. But I don't know how to get the json formatting in to a simple grid.

Hello,

I figured it out by adding a custom font. It was a little tricky, but I added the link to the font as a 'deck' and it downloaded it fine.

The json I parsed myself and made into a csv.

Thank you
