Audio not downloading from google drive or URLs

Audio not downloading from google drive or URLs

Postby Guest » Tue Jul 08, 2025 5:16 am

I am trying to get cards with audio from google drive, but all my audio files only show up as text, eg 'hello.mp3' with no audio. All the cards appear just fine, but the audio is missing. I have followed the instructions and created a media folder with the name of the deck and 'Media'. I get no error.message when downloading rhe deck. When specifying file names in the spreadsheet is there any special formatting I need? I suspect I'm missing something. I have also tried with a URL, but the same thing happens.
Thanks in advance

Hi. I'm so sorry for the slow response time.

You need a header row to tell the app what is in each column. Order not important. Options would be Text 1, Text 2, Text 3, Sound 1, Sound 2, Sound 3, Picture 1, etc.

So if you have text and sound on side 1, you might have in your spreadsheet

Text 1 | Sound 1 | Text 2
hello | hello.mp3 | hola

I have exactly the same problem as the poster says.
I named the columns correctly.
The problem does not only occur on Google Drive, but also Dropbox!!
The audio is put at slide 3 only.
Now the app is showing the name of wav document, and not as a clickable audio in app.
I made an second audio file and change gave it a different file name, it does not solve the problem.

Make sure your header name is cell A1 does not have a space at the end. This may cause the problem.
Is your first card your title row (Text 1, Picture 2, etc?). If so, then there is something wrong with your header. Again, check for spaces at beg or end of cell's text.

Please email me if you still have an issue.
