more recommendation/feedback

1. when i test 1->2 & 2->1 together, i hate it when it asks text 2 of the word almost right after it asked text 1. I have to either ignore that it‘s my short term memory or accept the fact and mark it wrong. it would be great if we can set the minimum interval between two sides of the same word!

2. I wish there is some sort of “connecting/linking” feature that i can test similar words almost consecutively. for example, i want to connect prevail/prevailing/pervasive/prevalent together to strengthen my distinguishing skill. i know that there are “categories” but there have to be so many categories to make for every single similar-word group. i wish we can connect these words together and then choose the intervals among them in the setting.

3. if the word has multiple meanings or belongs to multiple classes of word, I write them down in text 3, such as “noun 3 / verb 1”. it would be really helpful if there’s a specific feature that we can put number of meanings and tag the classes

i hope these were helpful feedback :)

Hi. I'm sorry for the slow reply.

1. Do you have Advanced Layout on with 2 directions active. Here's what I would recommend trying. Tap your second direction, then "Cards to Study". Additional Streak / Interval. Statistic Set = 1 (should already be this). Interval = Active. What this will do is wait to show you direction 2 until the direction 1 card has moved to "active" status. I think this will solve your problem. You bring up a good point. I'm thinking about how I can make some changes that will work better automatically without having to make this complex setting changes, so I'll think about it.

2. "connect words and then define an interval between seeing them". I'm not sure I will create such a feature. It does have merit. Might not be used by too many people. I will make a note of it and give it more thought down the road.

3. My first thought is.. can you put all the meanings on the answer side? So say the word has two different meanings (and part of speech). I guess the complication comes when you want to study the other direction. In this case, the card should maybe be split into two cards, each with the same answer. Is this what you are running up against? My feeling is the questions should be unique, and you'd have all the meanings on side 2. In this case, perhaps you would have a category of "1->2 only", so it would be hidden the other direction, then you'd have two cards for the other direction, with a category of "2->1 only". But this sounds complicated to set up. What I would do is create one card for each word in your foreign language. Then put all meanings on the back. When you are shown your native language first, you'll see all meanings, then need to remember the foreign language word. Thoughts? What do you mean by "tag the classes"?
