Audio timestamps?

Audio timestamps?

Postby Shunarjuna » Mon Sep 13, 2021 6:06 pm

Is it possible to timestamp audio files so, for example, I could have card 1 play example.mp3{0:32-0:48}. In other words, play just a short section of a larger audio file.

In the past I've had to cut audio files up a save them as individual files but this gets pretty tedious after a while. Plus it would be nice to be able to do this with audiobooks, so you could just play one sentence or paragraph at a time.

Thanks.

No, the app doesn't have any feature to do this. Sorry. I can see how it would be useful, but I'm not sure if such a feature would ever get to the top of my priority list due to requiring a decent amount of work to benefit few people (the way I see it).

Using Audacity, it seems that defining / figuring out the timestamps is the time consuming part. One you have that, the program can cut using timestamps from a text file. I think so. But I still understand how what you are talking about has benefits.

Sorry I don't have better news for you.
