degrees symbol

Is there any way to make the program recognise the degrees symbol as a superscript?
With every attempt, it seems to lose the superscript after it is transferred to the "upload page". Instead of reading the degrees symbol as a superscript to read as 32 degrees it appears as 32o. (even on this page as well).
