Filter cards to learn "homework" vocabulary

Hello again,
I'm terribly sorry to be back so soon, but I can't find anything about my issue in the forum. My apologies if I'm doubling an entry.
A kid I want to help is studying Spanish. There is a vocabulary section in the back of the book, and the teacher has them learn this section in daily chunks. I am looking for a way to have her concentrate on the current day's words/vocabulary. She will of course also need to work with a "normal" spaced repetition option to retain all the "old" words, but it would be nice to be able to quickly study for a potential quiz the next day.
I've figured out that I can set Categories, e.g. "unit 1", "unit 2", and so on, and filter based on that. But I also need the daily subset. I'll enter the entire vocabulary section before the start of the school year, I don't want to have to enter only the daily subset every day. I think I'd go nuts.
Any suggestions?
Best regards, Matina
