Just adding my voice to those who have mentioned the need for superscript/subscript formatting. Thanks!

You can do this by using html tags:

^{This is superscript}
_{This is subscript}

It would be nice if you could just format on your PC and transfer that formatting without using tags, but this is not supported yet. Maybe some year.

I just tried writing the equation with my bamboo pad and saving the image as a jpg, works beautifully.
