No. Android by default shuts down my app when it goes in the background. I don't know how to keep it going. This is something I'll probably revisit at a later time (maybe 9 months), but for now, no.

hi,

any updates on this issue?

I am new to this flashcard app. If I have it playing "auto play'...running through a set of cards and I try to put my phone in my pocket, the app stops working... and that is a huge bummer.

Other flashcard services in have tried...would continue to play the audio...even if a put the phone in stand by.

"Screen lock" doesn't solve the problem... my samsung phone has a raised button, & if a but the phone in my pocket will autoplaying & bump that button...this app stops.

Help?

thanks

I still don't have plans to support audio play in the background.

If your problem is mostly about accidental taps in your pocket, try the following:
1) face the screen outward (away from body)
2) Before starting slideshow, tap button-center button then "Lock Screen". Start slideshow. This should lower the chances of slideshow stopping accidentally.

Any update on this? Hope to be able to switch to other apps while the audio still plays in the background.

No, I still don't have plans to support background play. It won't happen anytime soon, if ever. Sorry about that.

(One significant problem is that it's not easy to program, especially on iOS.)
