Better organisation of table with variable column sequence

Better organisation of table with variable column sequence

Postby spitzmuller » Wed Aug 10, 2011 6:04 am

Hi Ernie

I was trying to alter the sequence of the columns in my google document where i edit my cards:
I wanted to have: category 1 - text 1 - picture 1 - text 2 - picture 2 text 3 picture 3 etc.
Only to find that it didn't work ...

Any plans to make the table columns independent of the sequence of the rows and allow for arbitrary order? This would make my table a lot more user-friendly.

And since all columns have a name, I don't see a problem for implementation... do you?

Greets! Simon

You can't put a Category column first. I think you can put any other column first. After that, the column headers can be in any order.
If it helps, you can put "Ignore" as your first column and put Category 1 next in column 2. Any column with a header "Ignore" will be ignored.
I'll consider adding Category as a supported first column.
