Hi. Let me get back to you tomorrow on this. Tomorrow I'll look at a possible solution. Note that this would be for Amazon Polly. I don't know of a way to change pronunciation for Siri or Android TTS.

Is there a solution for distinguishing heteronyms (words spelled the same, but pronounced differently) in English for test to speech.

For example, project (a noun "the project will be delayed") and project (a verb "to project a line on a surface") are pronounced with different stress, and TTS engines often guess wrong.

For Chinese, heteronyms can be distinguished by using Zhuyin. How about English?

This is a serious issue for Flashcards Deluxe software, limiting its usefulness.
