Multiple choice is mostly done, so it will be part of the next update. I don't know when it will be released... probably 4-6 weeks.

I'm curious what sort of features people want for multiple choice. In my "Developer's Blog" on this website, I'll post something about what my plans are in regards to this, so feel free to let me know if there is something you want to see that I didn't add.

Please make this a high priority. Anxiously awaiting Multiple Choice, just not enough options for it on the app store

I made some good progress on multiple choice yesterday and today. Whew.
I think I wait to submit an update for a couple months and just include lots of changes.

Hi. Multiple choice will not be done by end of August. As it looks right now, it's still 1-2 months away, due to me getting pulled in various other directions. Sorry.

Strong disagree. Are you learning for the test of for knowing the stuff? I am also taking multiple choice, but I am learning without it because it is FAR TO EASY!!! With multiple choise, educated guessing allows me to easily succeed in several grades above what I actually know, but that doesn't mean I *know* it.

S1DTHEK1D wrote:i think your app needs multiple choice and a new icon

Although I agree that having multiple choices would be nice, I definitely disagree on the Icon point! I just cannot understand why people are always again and again are coming back to this point? I don't LOOK at the icon like a spare time activity, I just tap it to get the program running, that is what I want. The only thing that is necessary with an icon is that it is *recognizable*, easily, anything else is just wasting time of real developments.

Multiple choice will be reversible.

Oh and another thing to consider when adding multiple choice

Make it so that the user can do both normal and reverse multiple choice, so basically like this

Reverse

QUESTION (FRONT OF CARD)

A) ANSWER (BACK OF CARD)
B) ANSWER (BACK OF CARD)
C) ANSWER (BACK OF CARD)
D) ANSWER (BACK OF CARD)

Normal

ANSWER (BACK OF CARD)

A) QUESTION (FRONT)
B) QUESTION (FRONT)
C) QUESTION (FRONT)
D) QUESTION (FRONT)

I would be too! I'll keep in touch. Thanks again for the best flashcard app on the market, I always try to recommend your app to friends, colleagues, and fellow students because of it's superiority.

GLAD TO HEAR IT! Can we expect to have it by the fall semester? (late august for me)

Was just about to create a new topic when i saw that there was already one! Glad to see that I'm not the only one.

Ernie, multiple choice!!!

Multiple choice > text to speech!
I would love to have both but multiple choice would be seriously awesome. Maybe for now just implement basic multiple choice and then do the more intricate way. Your app is beautiful!

As for auto-generated, I won't have an option to specify options for each card, so it will be auto-generated. I think what I'll do is have the option to keep choices within a group if desired, so maybe use category 1 to group cards and possible choices will be limited to the same category... might be a nice feature if someone feels like turning it on.

As for priority... I've two things at the top of my list: TTS (text to speech) and multiple choice. I chose to go with TTS first, since it sounded more fun and I could use it. I expect to start work on multiple choice within a month though.

First off, thank you for the great app. I can tell you firsthand that so many of my friends from school would love to see our iPhones to finally get a flashcard app with multiple choice. gFlash and iFlipr do do multiple choice but the aesthetics of their apps are very bad, the apps feel unpolished. Flashcards by orangeorapple is really polished and I'd absolutely LOVE to see it implemented. Make it first priority lol!

Yes Ernie, please make an auto-generated multiple choice option. PLEASE! Just have it pull the answers from the other flash cards. It is absolutely perfect For Scantron tests.

Multiple choice?

Post by Guest » Sun May 08, 2011 8:39 pm

Just downloaded the Lite version, like the UI, but was wondering if there is a multiple choice option. I'm currently using gFlash and it generates multiple choice questions pulled from the answer column of the spreadsheet where card information is stored. Can this already be done, is it in the works, or is it likely that it will never be implemented?

Sorry if this has already been answered. I'm on my phone and can't really search the forum over the network. Thanks for any info!
