Tina,
When you tap a side's text and open the edit screen, the cursor is at the very end. Tap on other areas of the text to move the cursor. You can also touch-hold-drag (a magnified window will pop-up) for finer control of where you position the cursor.
Tapping (maybe hold down a bit) will also provide options such as "select", "select all", "paste".
